UMS Prepares Non-Budgeter Virtual Account

In order to realize accountability and transparency in financial governance in all aspects, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta will implement a Virtual Account system for all payment transactions outside of student payments. In this case, Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta is collaborating with Bank Jateng Syariah, as one of the partner banks that has been managing student payments.

The non-budgeter Virtual Account system was presented by Bank Jateng Syariah on Thursday, January 16 2025, in the presence of the Vice Rector II, Vice Dean II, Head of Unit, and the team from the Bureau of Financial Administration. As an introduction, the Vice Rector II emphasized the importance of income outside of student payments to support the implementation of the teaching and learning process and its support. Non-budgetary income must be recorded by a system including the Virtual Account system.

Before the discussion session, Bank Jateng Syariah presented and simulated the non-budgeter Virtual Account system. The main account is at the university level, the faculty/study program account is at the next level. With this system, payment and expenditure transactions can be monitored by the admin of each unit and admin levels above. The budget disbursement mechanism follows the budgetary disbursement pattern, only made more flexible. Approval for disbursement is only carried out by the Vice Rector II, and disbursement can be done at any time, as soon as there is an order for fund disbursement from the Vice Rector II.
