Following up on instructions from the leadership of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS), that each unit at UMS is expected to arrange an annual development work program in the form of an Academic Support Unit Development Plan (RPUPA) as per the RPPS/RPUPPS of study programs and faculties, the Bureau of Financial Administration (BAK) since 2017 arranged the unit development work programs scheduled through RPUPA. RPUPA BAK is essentially an annual Short Term Development Plan (RPJP) in order to realize the vision of BAK which is targeted to be achieved in 2029.
In the context of preparing the RPUPA work program for 2025/2026, or the 1st year of the third Medium Term Development Plan (RPJM), BAK held a work meeting on Saturday, July 19 2025, at the Villa Omah Kita Meeting Room, Selo, Boyolali. The meeting began with a general briefing by the Head of BAK. In his direction, the Head of BAK conveyed the strategic targets set by the university regarding financial management, namely the realization of a funding structure, transparent and accountable financial governance, integration of financial information systems with other related information systems, as well as targets for generating income outside of student payments. To achieve these strategic targets, targeted and measurable development programs are needed which are packaged in RPUPA BAK. The Head of BAK also conveyed an evaluation regarding the implementation of the RPUPA BAK from 2021/2022 to 2024/2025, which could be taken into consideration in preparing the 2025/2026 RPUPA BAK.
In the next session, the 2025/2026 RPUPA BAK work programs were discussed. Work meeting participants convey problems related to their job description. By considering existing problems, UMS strategic targets for 2025-2029 related to financial management, and the results of the evaluation of the implementation of RPUPA BAK from 2021/2022 to 2024/2025, the BAK work meeting forum formulated a draft work program for RPUPA BAK for 2025/2026, as follows:
The results of the work meeting will later be input into the institutional development application system (Apple), to then be reviewed by the Reviewer Team formed by the Bureau of Planning and Development (BPP).
