Following up on the instructions from the Rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS), that each unit at UMS is expected to arrange the annual development work program in the form of an Academic Support Unit Development Plan (RPUPA) like the RPPS/RPUPPS for study programs and faculties, the Bureau of Financial Administration (BAK) UMS since 2017 has arranged unit development work programs through RPU (now RPUPA). RPUPA BAK-UMS is essentially an annual Short Term Development Plan (RPJP) in order to realize the vision of BAK UMS which is targeted to be achieved in 2029.
For preparing the RPUPA for the year 2023/2024, or the 2nd year of the second Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJM), BAK-UMS held a coordination meeting on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at the Villa Padas Ombo, Kemuning, Ngargoyoso, Karanganyar. The meeting began with a general briefing by the Head of BAK. In the briefing, the Head of BAK conveyed the strategic goals set by the university related to financial management, namely the realization of a funding structure, solid, transparent, and accountable financial management. To achieve these strategic targets, targeted and measurable development programs are needed which are packaged in the RPUPA BAK. The head of the BAK also conveyed an evaluation of the implementation of the RPUPA BAK in 2022/2023, which could be taken into account in the arrangement of the RPUPA BAK for the year 2023/2024.
The following session discussed the work programs of the RPUPA BAK for 2023/2024. The participants conveyed problems related to their job descriptions. Taking into account the existing problems, the strategic goals of UMS for 2021-2025 related to financial management, and the results of the evaluation of the implementation of RPUPA BAK in 2022/2023, the BAK coordination meeting formulated a draft work programs for the RPUPA BAK for 2023/2024, as follows:
