On Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at the Rector’s Secretariat Room, the Bureau of Financial Administration Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (BAK-UMS) welcomed a comparative study visit from Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY). The team from UMY consisted of the Vice Rector for Resources, the Vice Rector for Quality, and the Bureau of Finance team. The UMY group was received directly by the Rector and Vice Rector II of UMS along with the BAK-UMS team, namely the Head of the Bureau, the Head of the Budget and Student Financial Administration, the Sub-Division Head of the Budget Verification and Control, the Sub-Division Head of the Accounting and Taxation, and accounting staff.
In the opening session, the UMS Rector gave a welcoming speech and introduced the host team. Likewise, the UMY Vice Rector for Resources introduced the UMY team and conveyed the purpose of their visit, namely a discussion related to taxation. In the next session, the UMS Vice Rector II provided an explanation regarding taxation at UMS. During the discussion, the Sub-Division Head of the Accounting and Taxation of UMS added an explanation regarding the application of certain tax laws that can be applied to PTMA as a whole. The accounting staff of UMS also demonstrated an example of SPT form that each lecturer and staff at UMS can access through the financial management information system. The discussion concluded with lunch together at Dapur Solo located in the UMS Edutorium.
